Each of us wishes to be happy and to find a place where we feel at home. Sita Dulip is a young woman who asks questions and seeks answers. Is there a truly perfect place to live? How to magine it? Where to find it? And what is happiness, anyway? Frustration with human society and endless waiting at an airport lead her to an interesting discovery – interplanetary
travel. The method she comes up with allows her to visit, in her mind, societies and cultures that sometimes reflect ours and sometimes open doors to the unknown.
She finds herself in a space showroom, among distant planets, amid technological progress and a return to tradition. But perhaps she is not looking in the right place at all.
The play Sita Dulip’s Method was based on three short stories by American author Ursula K. Le Guin (“Porridge on Islac” and “Seasons of Ansarac” from the collection “Changing Planes” and “The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas”) and is the first theatrical adaptation of the author’s work in Slovakia.
