Architectural accessibility
The buliding of the National Academy of Theatre Arts in Cracow -Wroclaw Branch – 59 Braniborska Street – largely accessible
- entrance to the building from Braniborska Street, entrance to the building through the main entrance located on a raised platform using a lift designed for people with disabilities,
- optional: access by car to the underground garage and passenger lift to individual floors,
- the entrance to the building is not secured by gates,
- No speakers for the audio guidance system for blind and visually impaired persons above the entrance,
- Assistance dogs and guide dogs are permitted in the building.
- In the building on the right side of the entrance from Braniborska Street, there is a tactile map.
- There are information signs with Braille markings in the building.
- Moving around the corridors is mostly unimpeded. The University is equipped with a mobile ramp that allows wheelchair users to access the stairs leading to the backstage area and to practical classrooms 125 and 123, located on the first floor. Wheelchair users will not be able to access the following offices: 053 (technical manager), 054 (supplies), 055 (facilities manager and health and safety specialist), 056 (IT specialist and archivist) and 057 (acoustics room),
- induction loop on the Main Stage, portable induction loop for face-to-face meetings, stationary induction loop at the reception desk,
- no possibility of using the services of a sign language interpreter,
- separate seats for wheelchair users at the Tadeusz Różewicz Stage, possibility of reserving seats at the Studio Stage and Black Stage upon prior notification of the audience service,
- the toilet for wheelchair users is located on the ground floor.
- Three parking spaces designated for persons with disabilities – two outside the building and one on level minus one of the underground car park. Detailed information on wheelchair access to specific rooms in the building can be obtained from the secretariat, phone: 71 358 34 01.
- University staff will help you get to places that are difficult to access.
- Audience members can contact the AST Theatre at 71 358 34 06 or directly before the performance with the auditorium staff.
How to get to the building
- From the main railway station – tram line 32 or 31, all trams on these lines are low-floor trams.
- From the Bus Station stop – exit the station from Sucha Street,
destination stop: Plac Strzegomski (Contemporary Museum) or: by bus number 106 or 148 from Dworcowa Street (exit from the station towards Piłsudskiego Street), destination stop Smolecka. There is a wheelchair-friendly ramp from the embankment where the stop is located. The buses on this route are low-floor buses. - From the airport: take bus number 106 from the airport; the bus stop is located opposite the terminal. The bus is adapted for transporting people with disabilities. There is a call panel at the bus stop, which passengers can use to call for assistance. The final stop is Smolecka. There is a wheelchair-friendly ramp at the bus stop.
