Shakespeare’s Deception

Producer:

Set design:

The show is set within a stylistic framework typical of puppetry and mask theatre, featuring love stories, intrigues, disguises, transformations, twists, and recognitions. The plot is based on Shakespeare’s “Measure for Measure”. On stage, the intertwining plots unfold with lightness, irony, satire, and moments of intense humanity, through scenes inspired by various Shakespearean works. What emerges is a dramaturgy whose main theme is morality as a form of control over the people, a theme that can only be defeated by the greatness of love. A journey through the virtues and deadly sins of man. The plot’s development is enhanced by live music, folk songs, fights, pantomimes, moments of poetry and social satire, and unexpected characters.
