The “Labyrinth” is a short, original piece by Bartłomiej Kowalski about the constant search for happiness, which leads us through various paths in life. In the pursuit of what seems better, further away, we often lose sight of what we already possess. Is happiness a goal, or rather a state that eludes us just as we begin to seek it? Or perhaps we become accustomed to it too quickly and only discover its value when it becomes unattainable? The study is inspired by the mythological motif of the labyrinth as a space of loss and the search for meaning. The labyrinth reflects human life: full of choices, confusion, and returns. The study invites us to reflect on what happiness is and whether we can perceive it before it becomes just a memory. Can we recognize the moment when it’s worth pausing, appreciating the “here and now,” and stopping chasing what seems better?“Penelope” is an original piece by Anna Chlebica. It tells the story of longing, which unpredictably and unnoticed creeps into everyday life. What does longing tell us? Is it good to long? Doesn’t longing poison our everyday lives and rob us of the precious “here and now”? But what would life be like without it? Would people and events have such value if we didn’t long? Is it possible to love and not long? The study doesn’t provide simple answers to these difficult questions, but by focusing on an image inspired by the fate of the faithful Penelope, Odysseus’ wife, it invites us to immerse ourselves in shared reflection on this topic.
