“Different Faces of Masculinity” is a theatrical-musical performance that examines the contemporary crisis of masculinity in the context of changing social, cultural, and emotional realities. The audience follows the stories of four men: Władysław, Cezary, Kamil, and Karol. Each of them is facing a personal crisis, yet they are at different stages of life and guided by different value systems. An integral part of the performance consists of interpretations of Polish popular and poetic songs, which acquire new meanings when juxtaposed with the theatrical narrative. The audience’s guide through the world of the performance is Andy—a puppet who serves as the artist’s alter ego. Through pre-recorded film projections, Andy comments on, analyzes, and interprets selected phenomena related to masculinity, introducing the audience to successive parts of the show. The performance aims to create a space for dialogue around men’s emotional lives and vulnerability, while challenging stereotypes associated with masculinity.
