About us

Who are we?

Puppet Net is an initiative established to bring together knowledge, experience, and the latest achievements in contemporary puppet theatre in one place. The project is carried out at the Puppet Department of the Academy of Theatre Arts in Kraków, Wrocław branch.

As a university with a long-standing tradition of training puppeteers and as the organizer of the prestigious METAFORMY Puppet Schools Festival, we have a team of practitioners, educators, and researchers who have been shaping the European puppetry art scene for years.

Our strength lies in the combination of expertise, academic and artistic resources, and an extensive international network of contacts. This allows us to create a project that integrates stage practice, modern technologies, scientific research, and the responsible dissemination of knowledge.
